What style of music do you perform and can you learn new songs for an event?
We perform covers across a wide range of genres: rock & roll, pop, rock, funk & soul, disco and motown.
We perform songs from these genres that are popular and that people love to dance and sing along to!
The Corporations like to make sure that each event is special, unique and personal. That is why we always check that the set lists suit the event and that we can add those specials moments to the performance.
Recent special moments have included:
First Dance Request
Rehearsing and performing the first dance especially for the bride and groom.
Surprise Guest Request
Rehearsing and performing with the groom so that he could sing ‘What A Wonderful World’ to his blushing bride! We have also had clients surprise their guests by playing or singing with the band!
Surprise Routine Request
Rehearsing and performing with dancers for that extra wow factor!
How long does the band play for?
The band often performs two sets, which can be between 45 minutes to an hour each with a 30-minute break in between. This is, however, completely negotiable and can be tailored specifically to timings on the day for your event.
Do you have your own PA Equipment & Lighting? Do you have a DJ option?
The band come with their own PAT tested PA system that can vary from 1K to 15K, professional lighting and effects, which can be adjusted accordingly to suit the space.
Our technicians will liaise with the client to ensure they can provide all you need, including background music, microphones for speeches and a DJ that can take requests and play in between band sets and after into the early hours if requested!
How long does it take the band to set up?
Ideally the band will need 2 hours to set up and thoroughly sound check to ensure the best performance. We understand that timings can run tight on the day so, if needed, we can work around other entertainment and events on the day. Please be aware that if we need to set up much earlier or pack down much later after the band's performance then this will occur an additional cost to cover the manning of the equipment.
Can we come and see you before we book you?
Yes, you are more than welcome to come along to a rehearsal and meet and listen to the band. Contact us for more information.
How much does it cost to book The Corporations?
Each event is completely unique and costs are variable and negotiable to suit each event. Get in touch and let us know as much detail about your event to give an accurate quote.
Do we need a deposit?
To save the date with the band we require a small deposit to hold the date. This works like a guarantee between both parties. The deposit is negotiable and full, detailed invoices are sent to confirm all details with the booking.
Can I guarantee that all the band members listed on your website will play at my event?
As with any job, everyone needs a day off from time to time and very occasionally circumstances beyond control can occur that cause a band member to be unable to make a gig. For this reason we cannot guarantee each and every member, but you can rest assured that if an understudy needs to be brought in they will be at the same high standard.
We will never cut back on quality as it makes it no fun for us!
